As we have dicussed in the previous article, Backgammon is a casino game of ability and luck. The aim is to shift your pieces safely around the game board to your inside board and at the same time your opposition moves their pieces toward their inner board in the opposing direction. With opposing player checkers moving in opposite directions there is bound to be conflict and the need for specific strategies at specific instances. Here are the 2 final Backgammon strategies to complete your game.

The Priming Game Strategy

If the goal of the blocking plan is to hamper the opponents ability to move his chips, the Priming Game tactic is to absolutely barricade any activity of the opponent by building a prime - ideally 6 points in a row. The competitor's checkers will either get hit, or result a damaged position if she at all tries to leave the wall. The trap of the prime can be built anyplace between point two and point eleven in your half of the board. As soon as you've successfully constructed the prime to stop the movement of your opponent, your opponent doesn't even get to toss the dice, and you shift your chips and toss the dice yet again. You will be a winner for sure.

The Back Game Plan

The goals of the Back Game technique and the Blocking Game tactic are very similar - to hurt your competitor's positions in hope to better your odds of winning, but the Back Game tactic utilizes seperate tactics to do that. The Back Game plan is commonly employed when you're far behind your competitor. To play Backgammon with this tactic, you need to hold 2 or more points in table, and to hit a blot late in the game. This strategy is more complex than others to use in Backgammon because it needs careful movement of your checkers and how the checkers are moved is partially the outcome of the dice roll.
