The goal of a Backgammon match is to move your checkers around the game board and get those pieces from the board quicker than your opposing player who works harder to attempt the same buthowever they move in the opposing direction. Winning a game of Backgammon needsrequires both strategy and good luck. How far you can shift your checkers is up to the numbers from tossing a pair of dice, and the way you shift your chips are decided on by your overall gambling strategies. Players use different techniques in the different stages of a game dependent on your positions and opponent's.

The Running Game Plan

The goal of the Running Game tactic is to bring all your chips into your inner board and pull them off as quick as you could. This tactic concentrates on the pace of advancing your checkers with absolutely no time spent to hit or block your opponent's checkers. The ideal time to use this plan is when you think you can shift your own chips a lot faster than your opposing player does: when 1) you have a fewer checkers on the board; 2) all your checkers have past your opponent's checkers; or 3) your opposing player does not employ the hitting or blocking plan.

The Blocking Game Technique

The main goal of the blocking tactic, by its name, is to stop the opponent's checkers, temporarily, while not worrying about shifting your checkers rapidly. Once you've established the blockage for your competitor's movement with a couple of chips, you can shift your other pieces quickly from the game board. You really should also have an apparent strategy when to withdraw and shift the pieces that you employed for the blockade. The game becomes interesting when your opponent utilizes the same blocking strategy.
