As we have dicussed in the previous article, Backgammon is a game of talent and good luck. The aim is to move your pieces carefully around the board to your home board and at the same time your opposing player shifts their pieces toward their inner board in the opposing direction. With opposing player checkers moving in opposite directions there is bound to be conflict and the requirement for particular techniques at particular instances. Here are the two final Backgammon strategies to complete your game.

The Priming Game Tactic

If the goal of the blocking plan is to hamper the opponents ability to move his checkers, the Priming Game tactic is to completely stop any movement of the opponent by building a prime - ideally 6 points in a row. The opponent's chips will either get bumped, or result a battered position if he/she ever attempts to leave the wall. The trap of the prime can be built anywhere between point 2 and point eleven in your board. After you've successfully built the prime to block the movement of your opponent, the opponent does not even get to toss the dice, that means you shift your pieces and roll the dice yet again. You will win the game for sure.

The Back Game Plan

The objectives of the Back Game strategy and the Blocking Game strategy are similar - to harm your opponent's positions hoping to better your chances of winning, but the Back Game plan uses alternate tactics to do that. The Back Game strategy is often utilized when you are far behind your competitor. To compete in Backgammon with this technique, you need to control two or more points in table, and to hit a blot late in the game. This strategy is more challenging than others to employ in Backgammon seeing as it needs careful movement of your chips and how the pieces are moved is partly the outcome of the dice roll.
