As we dicussed in the previous article, Backgammon is a casino game of talent and luck. The aim is to move your pieces safely around the board to your inside board while at the same time your opposing player moves their pieces toward their home board in the opposing direction. With competing player chips moving in opposing directions there is bound to be conflict and the requirement for particular strategies at specific instances. Here are the last two Backgammon strategies to complete your game.

The Priming Game Strategy

If the goal of the blocking tactic is to slow down the opponent to shift her checkers, the Priming Game plan is to completely barricade any activity of the opposing player by building a prime - ideally 6 points in a row. The competitor's chips will either get bumped, or result a damaged position if she at all tries to escape the wall. The ambush of the prime can be established anywhere between point 2 and point eleven in your board. After you have successfully assembled the prime to block the activity of your competitor, your competitor does not even get a chance to roll the dice, that means you move your chips and toss the dice yet again. You'll win the game for sure.

The Back Game Plan

The goals of the Back Game strategy and the Blocking Game tactic are similar - to harm your opponent's positions hoping to better your odds of succeeding, however the Back Game plan utilizes seperate tactics to achieve that. The Back Game strategy is generally utilized when you're far behind your competitor. To play Backgammon with this tactic, you need to control 2 or more points in table, and to hit a blot (a single piece) late in the game. This strategy is more difficult than others to play in Backgammon because it requires careful movement of your checkers and how the pieces are moved is partially the result of the dice toss.
