As we dicussed in the previous article, Backgammon is a casino game of talent and luck. The aim is to move your chips carefully around the game board to your inside board and at the same time your opposition moves their chips toward their inside board in the opposing direction. With competing player checkers shifting in opposite directions there is bound to be conflict and the need for specific techniques at specific times. Here are the last 2 Backgammon strategies to complete your game.

The Priming Game Tactic

If the purpose of the blocking strategy is to slow down the opponent to shift his chips, the Priming Game strategy is to absolutely block any activity of the opposing player by building a prime - ideally 6 points in a row. The competitor's pieces will either get hit, or result a bad position if he ever attempts to escape the wall. The trap of the prime can be setup anyplace between point 2 and point eleven in your half of the board. As soon as you've successfully constructed the prime to block the activity of your opponent, your competitor does not even get a chance to toss the dice, and you move your chips and toss the dice yet again. You'll be a winner for sure.

The Back Game Plan

The aims of the Back Game tactic and the Blocking Game technique are very similar - to hinder your opponent's positions hoping to boost your odds of winning, but the Back Game technique relies on different tactics to do that. The Back Game technique is frequently employed when you are far behind your opponent. To compete in Backgammon with this plan, you have to control two or more points in table, and to hit a blot late in the game. This tactic is more challenging than others to play in Backgammon because it needs careful movement of your chips and how the checkers are moved is partially the result of the dice roll.
