As we have dicussed in the previous article, Backgammon is a casino game of talent and luck. The goal is to move your checkers safely around the game board to your home board and at the same time your opponent shifts their checkers toward their home board in the opposing direction. With opposing player checkers shifting in opposite directions there is going to be conflict and the requirement for particular techniques at particular times. Here are the last 2 Backgammon techniques to complete your game.

The Priming Game Plan

If the goal of the blocking plan is to slow down the opponent to shift her pieces, the Priming Game plan is to completely block any movement of the opponent by building a prime - ideally 6 points in a row. The opponent's pieces will either get bumped, or end up in a bad position if he ever tries to escape the wall. The ambush of the prime can be setup anywhere between point 2 and point eleven in your game board. Once you have successfully assembled the prime to stop the movement of your opponent, your competitor doesn't even get a chance to toss the dice, and you move your chips and toss the dice yet again. You will be a winner for sure.

The Back Game Strategy

The objectives of the Back Game strategy and the Blocking Game technique are very similar - to harm your competitor's positions with hope to boost your chances of winning, but the Back Game technique relies on alternate techniques to achieve that. The Back Game tactic is generally employed when you're far behind your opponent. To participate in Backgammon with this tactic, you need to control 2 or more points in table, and to hit a blot (a single piece) late in the game. This tactic is more complex than others to use in Backgammon seeing as it needs careful movement of your pieces and how the chips are moved is partially the outcome of the dice roll.
