As we dicussed in the previous article, Backgammon is a casino game of skill and pure luck. The goal is to move your pieces carefully around the board to your inner board while at the same time your opposition moves their checkers toward their home board in the opposite direction. With competing player pieces heading in opposing directions there is bound to be conflict and the requirement for specific tactics at particular times. Here are the last 2 Backgammon techniques to complete your game.

The Priming Game Tactic

If the goal of the blocking strategy is to slow down the opponent to shift her pieces, the Priming Game strategy is to absolutely block any activity of the opposing player by building a prime - ideally 6 points in a row. The competitor's checkers will either get bumped, or end up in a damaged position if he/she at all attempts to leave the wall. The trap of the prime can be setup anywhere between point two and point 11 in your game board. Once you have successfully constructed the prime to prevent the movement of the opponent, the opponent doesn't even get to toss the dice, that means you shift your chips and toss the dice yet again. You will win the game for sure.

The Back Game Tactic

The goals of the Back Game technique and the Blocking Game tactic are very similar - to harm your competitor's positions hoping to improve your odds of succeeding, but the Back Game tactic utilizes seperate tactics to achieve that. The Back Game strategy is often utilized when you're far behind your opponent. To compete in Backgammon with this plan, you have to control 2 or more points in table, and to hit a blot late in the game. This technique is more difficult than others to play in Backgammon seeing as it needs careful movement of your pieces and how the pieces are relocated is partially the outcome of the dice toss.
